Welcome to Italy!
There are eight CASE VALDESI, hotels and guesthouses throughout Italy.
These are those in Italy’s cities of art: the Foresteria Valdese di Venezia, a few steps away from St. Mark’s Square; the Hotel Casa Valdese di Roma, in the centrally-located and quiet Prati distric; the Foresteria Valdese di Firenze, close to the Ponte Vecchio.
At the seaside, there is the Hotel Casa Balneare Valdese di Pietra Ligure, a facility with beach access for people with disabilities; the Casa Valdese di Vallecrosia, a mere step away from the Côte d’Azur on the splendid Riviera dei Fiori; and the Casa Valdese di Rio Marina, on the Elba Island.
In the Tuscan hills, surrounded by olive groves, Casa Cares in Reggello offers the possiblity of organising courses and meetings for groups.
In the mountains, in Val Pellice, the Foresteria Valdese di Torre Pellice offers the opportunity to discover the cultural identity of the Waldensian community, while enjoying hiking and bike trails. A short distance from Torre Pellice is the hostel Villa Olanda run by Diaconia Valdese. The hostel hosts groups of all kinds in a quiet and versatile environment, also with numerous social and group activities designed and run by Diaconia Valdese itself.
The Case Valdesi allocate their profits to supporting the works and projects of the Diaconia Valdese and carrying out their activities while emphasising the hospitality of individuals, solidarity, and the environmental sustainability of their work. The Diaconia Valdese manages social and welfare services aimed at the elderly, minors, migrants, refugees and differently abled people, without distinction of physical appearance and cultural traditions, gender, language, religion, political opinions, personal and social conditions.
